Max's Don Antonio - Pook Ligaya in Quezon City is a beloved destination for savoring authentic Filipino cuisine that has become an institution in the Philippines. Specializing in classic comfort food, this restaurant delivers a timeless dining experience that proudly showcases the rich flavors of home-cooked meals, especially its famous Max's Fried Chicken®.

The star of the menu, Max's Fried Chicken®, is offered in both half and whole sizes, expertly golden fried to a crisp perfection that seals in juicy tenderness. Each bite reveals a unique blend of secret spices that elevate the crispy crust, making it truly “talagang SaraptotheBones®”. It’s the kind of dish that evokes nostalgia and satisfies cravings alike.

Beyond the iconic fried chicken, Max's Don Antonio invites you to explore hearty solo meals such as the Bacon Binagoongan Rice Bowl, where crispy breaded bacon meets savory fried eggplants tossed in Max’s signature bagoong. This dish offers a wonderful balance of salty, smoky, and umami richness that lingers delightfully on the palate. The Lechon Kawali Plate + Ubod is another must-try, pairing crispy pork belly with stir-fried Baguio beans, tender ubod, and their exquisite Caramel Bar®, a combination that bursts with textures and flavors.

For noodle lovers, the Pancit Canton and Bihon offerings—a Filipino-Chinese classic—are elevated with toppings of chicken, pork, shrimp, and an array of fresh vegetables, bringing a vibrant, savory harmony to the table. These dishes are known for their comforting warmth and satisfyingly complex taste profile.

The staff are really friendly and attentive. The food is what you expect from max's chain of restaurants. The place is cozy enough. Restrooms are nice. We've been here twice. We'll definitely keep coming back here for our filipino food fix.

I'm sure, almost everyone knows this diner. The branch i went to, is within the compound of Shell gas station in Brgy. Holy spirit. This place was renovated, to accomodate commercial establishments. since the area is brimming with food chains and restaurants. As always, Max's have big spaces to accomodate lots of people but since the pandemic, they are only allowed to have limited dining. But they have survived & the good thing is, they have modified their menu. They have added filipino favorites at an affordable price. No longer those chicken combos that have something, that you don't want. But sadly, they have also taken out those that mattered to me, like coffee from the all day bangus meal. There are also other items, that they have introduced earlier but later on, taken out from the menu. The place is neat and clean and the servers are attentive and yes, they practise the protocols strictly. The comfort room is also clean, including the wash area.
